Christmas Time

Christmas time is the best time of the year! Lights start going up, Christmas music starts playing on the radio, and the best part of it all is the snow! Everybody gets in the Christmas spirit and everybody seems so joyful!

Christmas isn't about receiving it's about giving. It feels so good to make somebody's day by giving them the simplest thing, like baking them cookies! I enjoy getting together with my family and spending time making some memories.

What am I thankful for?

I am thankful for many things. Most of all I am thankful for my family. Without my family I would be nothing. Within in these past few years we have had some health scares. Throughout those tough times I have realized how truly blessed I am to have the family I have. We are eachothers  strength, and we'll always have eachother. Some friendships don't last forever but family always stays.

I have learned a lot from my grandpa who has survived 2 heart attacks, 5 strokes, an amputation, heart disease and diabetes.  He has passed down his wisdom to me and the other grandchildren. I am very thankful for that, because without his positive words that he has passed down I wouldn't be the person I am today.

I value family quite a bit. I have a strong bond with my family. Not everybody does. I am truly thankful that I was blessed with such an amazing family.

Pictures

If you ask a friend or family member of mine if I ever stop taking pictures, the answer would be no. Everywhere I go I have to take at least one. Well maybe not everywhere. The reason I take so many pictures is because I want to have something to look back on. I want to look at the pictures I've taken and go back to that time. I love looking back and thinking about old memories. I am really into photography. All I asked for my 16th birthday was a Nikon camera. I got it. I love capturing just the simple moments in life. I am a huge nature freak, and am obsessed with sunset, sunrises, and especially the moon. I'll probably do something with photography in my career.

Wrestling

Wrestling is a big part of my family. My dad wrestled back when he was in high school, and now my brother wrestles. My brother Nic started wresting when he was 3. He is more dedicated to the sport than I ever thought he would be. He's a 2 time state champion, and has been on the Minnesota National team for 3 years.. He trains with Jesus Wilson, an Olympic wrestler. There's a tournament every weekend. Since I've grown up with wrestling I was asked by the varsity'd head coach to be their manager. So, now I'm around wrestling even more. Wrestling is a HUGE part in my life.

Hope

Hope is your desire for something good to happen. We often hope for the best to happen. For example when my grandpa had his strokes and was admitted into the hospital, I would always hope that everything was going to be okay. I hope for positive outcomes. No matter what circumstances I face and no matter how many bumps in the rode I face there will be an upside.

What is Beauty?

You can find Beauty in a lot of things. When somebody hears the word beauty they often think of a "pretty" face. They think of it as a characteristic in somebody. I really believe that beauty is within yourself. It doesn't matter how pretty you are. It's your personality that makes you a beautiful person. You have to have a positive mindset. Beauty can be found all over. Our world is filled with it, depending how you look at it. I find beauty in nature. We are surrounded by nature. Nature is peaceful. "Beauty is in the eye of the beholder."

Can Money Buy Your Happiness?

Of course we all get a little happy when we get some cash. I am fully content with my friends, family and God to keep me happy. Knowing that I will always have these three things in my life makes me happy. you're are not always going to have money to fall back on. I get money on my birthday and all i think is "oh. cool.'" But when I go hang out with my friends and family, we make memories. I can look back at those memories and laugh about all of our funny moments. So no. Money cannot buy my happiness.

Changing Seasons

Its a little bit colder out now. The leaves are starting to change color. The cold breezes start to shake the leaves o the trees. It's fall. I love fall. It's so peaceful and it seems like everything settles down. Then it'll start getting even cooler out. Snow will start to fall, the outdoors will look much brighter, and Christmas lights will start going up. Winter is my favorite season. Everybody is more joyful and in the Christmas spirit. I love being around people. I think fall and winter are two of the happiest seasons!
Looks like fall!

Positivity

Sometimes it takes hit in the road to show us how brittle time is. My grandpa had lived through 2 heart attacks, 5 strokes. This August he went through a leg amputation, which at first it was only suppose to be his toe. It was a hard time for the family to go through. My grandpa is a very stubborn man, and we didn't know how he'd take the new about having to amputate his lag. He was very positive through it all. He told us the people out there have it worse. And keeping a positive mind through hard times will help. He also told us to have courage, faith, forgiveness, and happy thoughts. He ended up having a heart attack during his surgery, but he is still here with us. I do believe that the positivity and faith we had during this time, made things turn out the way they did. Today he is home and doing great.

FRIENDSHIP

Friendship is a relationship between you and someone you really care about. I have many friendships with many different people. Friendship is like a family bond. In order to have a strong friendship, you have to be able to trust one another. You share secrets with your friends, feelings, unforgetable memories, and much more. Knowing that your friendship with someone will last forever, is the best feeling. You'll always have someone that will be there for you no matter what, listen to your problems, and help you through rough times. A friend that is family to you.

Music

I believe that music fits into everybodys life. We all listen to it. Music has been around forever. We can all relate to it.
I think 60's-90's music is the best kind of music. All music today is pop and r&b. you basically hear the same thing over and over again today. As back than you had rock and roll, like kiss. You also had the Beatles, Pink Floyd, Led Zepplin, Journey... They all play different varieties of music. Id rather listen to that kind of music instead of today's hits. I'm an oldies kind of gal.

Homecoming

Homecoming is known to be one of the most fun and interesting times of the school year. Interesting because you get to see all of the unique outfits students come up with for dress up days, and we actually get to actually feel a little bit more free in school. We get to step out of our box a little bit. My personal favorite dress up day was wacky day. Three other of my friends and I dressed up as "KISS The Beatles" two of our favorite bands.... Put together. Not really wacky, but different.

All of the fun is at that game. We get to cheer on the Tigers, and be loud. In previous years it's been boring because we get beat by a ton. Since this year it was a close one, I think the fans got more into it. They deserved a win!

Picture taken by me at the game.
